Foreign Ministry Undersecretary presents briefing to heads of diplomatic missions

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Abdalla Omer Bashir  presented a briefing to the heads of diplomatic missions and international and regional organizations accredited to Sudan, on the latest political and economic developments in the country, and conveyed to them compliments of the new Foreign Minister, His Excellency Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq.

The Undersecretary stressed keenness of the state leadership to reach a solution to the current crisis by engaging in a national dialogue that includes all Sudanese parties.

He explained that the recently formed government is part of the efforts of the state leadership to resolve the Sudanese crisis, expressing hope that this step would lead to resumption of international support for the transitional period.

He affirmed the state’s keenness to hold free and fair elections at the end of the transitional period.

The Undersecretary also expressed Sudan’s aspiration for cooperation and aid from friendly countries in order to support peace and stability in the country.
