Foreign Minister Phones Algerian Counterpart

The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al-Saddiq, Monday made a phone call with the Algerian Minister for Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf.

Through the phone call, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen further the bilateral relations between Sudan and Algeria and to exchange consultation and coordination on the issues of mutual concern at the regional level.

Ambassador Al-Saddiq congratulated Ahmed Attaf on his appointment as head of Algerian diplomacy and expressed his pleasure on the historical and fraternal relations, the cooperation and solidarity between the two brotherly countries.

The two sides renewed their determination to work together to open new horizons for the bilateral cooperation in the economic and investment fields for the benefit of both sides.

On his part, the Algerian diplomat expressed his country’s permanent solidarity with Sudan in all fields that supports its security and stability and to enable it to continue its important role in the Arab and regional arenas.

The two ministers also exchanged views on a number of Arab and regional files of mutual concern and affirmed the importance of reforming and strengthening the joint Arab action to preserve the Arab national security in various aspects.
