Federal Minister of Health meets Turkish counterpart

The Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, affirmed the strong relations linking Sudan to Turkey, which contributes to supporting the health sector in Sudan, stablishment of hospitals  and training the health cadres as well as providing the medical equipment.

Haitham pointed out   to the significant and effective role of Turkey in supporting the health sector in Sudan by training the doctors in the hospitals,   .

Haitham explained the importance of activating protocols between the two sides, particulary therapeutic protocol, which was suspended due to  emergence of the Corona pandemic.

He discussed the issue of organ transplantation, especially liver transplant, and arranging to start liver transplantation at Ibn Sina Hospital, Khartoum. Pointing out  to the importance of exchanging the experiences in the field of Pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical consumables, and taking advantage of Sudan’s geographical location as a regional market and achieving self-sufficiency…

The Turkish Minister, on his part, affirmed the commitment with all the agreements signed by t the two countries, to provide the services for the Sudanese people, and

develop the health services.

He added that there is a Turkish delegation that visited Sudan and inspected the emergency system, provided technical support and exchanged experiences with Sudanese Ministry of Health, stressing their readiness to support Sudan in fighting Corona pandemic and provide vaccines and pharmaceutical industries.
