The Executive Director of the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Dr. Hassib Jonathan, stressed the importance of the role played by the Sudan News Agency in providing the news service as a well-established media institution that has its authority and represents a basic interface for the state in the field of media.

Jonathan said during his meeting with Director General of the Sudan News Agency, Dr.  Fikriy Aba Yzeed in her office today that the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit seeks to expand partnership with public institutions, and within the framework of joint cooperation with national state institutions, it seeks to create cooperation with (SUNA) and enhance information exchange, pointing to The Rapid Support Foundation’s readiness to cooperate with the agency to enable it to provide its media and news missions.

Dr. Fikriya Aba Yzeed, Director of Sudan News Agency, welcomed the Executive Director of the Human Rights Unit for the rapid support, stressing the readiness of SUNA to provide all that would serve the Human Rights and Child Protection Unit in the media and news coverage.

She pointed out that the agency is independent and provides its services to all the various state institutions, and that service in it has continued throughout successive governments without interruption.

She said that the agency faces some challenges inthe aspect of aid and a number of aspects, noting that the agency has worked to develop its system and news units to keep pace with global developments in the field of media.
