Dr. Abdul-Bagi Calls for Development of Agricultural Sector

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Abdul-Bagi Abdul-Gadir, has called for giving concern to promotion of the agricultural and livestock production as the main pillar for the development of Sudan, achieving food security and meeting the aspirations of the Sudanese people for prosperity and the economic development.

During his visit Wednesday to Al-Zakiab area, northern of Khartoum North Locality, Dr. Abdul-Bagi affirmed the state keenness to develop the northern rural area and to remove the difficulties facing it.

He said that the animal and agricultural projects in the Zakiab area are model projects that will contribute to the development of the rural area, calling for establishment of similar projects in the country.

On his part, the acting Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, Ahmed Osman Hamza, said that the state will work to achieve food security and enhance the living conditions for the citizens, calling for concern with the agricultural process that represents the backbone for the desired development.

The member of the Sovereignty Council and the acting Wali (governor) of Khartoum State, have inspected a number of development, service and health projects in the Zakiab area.
