Daglo Receives France Envoy for Sahal and Sahara Region

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, Monday received at the Republican Palace France envoy for the Sahel and Sahara region, Bruno Foucher, and discussed the developments in Chad and the role that Sudan can play in making the dialogue between Chadian parties hosted by Qatar a success.

The meeting was attended by the acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Nadir Yousif, and the Ambassador of France to Sudan, Raja Rabie.

Gen. Daglo has welcomed the French envoy, affirming the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two countries on many issues at the bilateral and international levels, praising the level of existing relations between the two countries and the possibility of strengthening and developing them to serve the interests of the two countries.

He affirmed his support for all efforts that achieve stability for the Chadian people, including the dialogue hosted by Doha, referring to the brotherly relations between Khartoum and N’Djamena.

He said that the security and stability of Chad is closely linked to the security and stability in Sudan.

The French envoy stressed the importance of Sudan’s role in enhancing security and stability in Chad and the region in general, pointing to the importance of Sudan contribution to supporting the efforts to achieve reconciliation between Chadians
