Daglo meets British delegation

The Vice- President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, General-Mohammed Hamdan Daglo met, Today, at his office, in the Republican Palace, the Director General, Africa at the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office Ambassador Moazzam Malik accompanied by the Special Representative for the Horn of Africa and the Red Sea and the British Ambassador to Khartoum.

The TSC Vice-President, during the meeting, welcomed the British delegation, expressing appreciation to the great concern of the British government over Sudan’s issues.

He briefed the British diplomats on the overall political and economic situations, affirming that Sudan works hard to benefit from its resources to overcome the current crisis.

With regard to the political crisis, Lieutenant-General Dagalo stressed that the way out lies in a dialogue that leads to the consensus of all components in the country, pointing out that the Sudanese government highly appreciates the efforts of the “UNITAMS” mission as a facilitator to resolve the crisis, which must be Sudanese and with the consensus of all.

The British diplomat, on his part, affirmed that his country supports the efforts being exerted to realize the democratic transformation, referring to the importance of the trust building efforts between the concerned parties to facilitate the dialogue.

Ambassador Malik  pointed out that his visit to Sudan comes in the context of the efforts exerted to end the current crisuis through listening to all parties
