Daglo Calls on Native Administration to Support National Consensu

The Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, has called on the native administrations in Sudan to support the national consensus in the country, stressing the importance of its r impartiality so as to be qualified to confront those who stand against the will of the Sudanese people and their desire for reconciliation.

During his meeting Saturday with the native administration leaders, Gen. Daglo said that the situation in which the country is witnessing puts it at a crossroads, to be or not to be, due to the spread of seditions and the increase of the hate speech, racism and regionalism, noting that some people have been stirring up hatred among the Sudanese in order to achieve special concepts and agenda without taking into account the country’s stability and safety.

Daglo stressed the need for political parties to agree on a unified vision that achieves the country’s interest, adding that any elections cannot take place without political parties.

He regretted the great decline that inflicted on the country due to spread of differences, noting that the Sudanese agreement would restore Sudan to its natural status.

The Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council has pointed to the importance of the native administration’s assuming to its historical duties, communicating with all political and social components to persuade them to move in the direction of national reconciliation, stressing that everyone will face those who reject  accord.

He noted that the decisive solution to the crisis in Sudan can only be achieved. through the polls.

He called on the native administration to give attention to solving tribal problems in some states, especially in North and West Darfur, which he said had taken a negative turn with the growth of regional and racist tendencies between the parties.

He revealed their approval of the United Nations initiative to solve the crisis in Sudan, provided that the head of UNITAMS mission shall be a facilitator and not a mediator between the parties, affirming that the government is not antagonizing or rejecting the international community, but it refuses the interference in the internal affairs of the country.

On his part, the chieftain Ali Mahmoud, praised the efforts of the Vice – President of the Sovereignty Council to achieve peace in Sudan, especially in eastern Sudan, noting that their conference, which was held in Khartoum recently, stressed the importance of national consensus and peaceful coexistence among all the Sudanese people.

He called for giving due concern to the

administration and to support it and to issue the laws that help it play its role in improving the social fabric of the country.

Sultan Saad Abdu-Rahman Bahr-Eddin said that the Native Administration Conference has decided support to national initiatives that lead to societal consensus, and to the regular forces to play their role in maintaining security and imposing the prestige of the state, noting that the conference also stressed the importance of dialogue between the Sudanese people.

He indicated that the Native Administration Conference has affirmed its rejection to all forms of international interference in the Sudanese affairs and called on all the diplomatic missions and organizations to respect Sudanese sovereignty.
