Court of June 30, 1989 coup adjourns session to February 15

Court of June 30, 1989 coup adjourned sessions today to February 15 due to the absence of the investigator and some of the accused.

The prosecution panel stated in today’s session that it had received a letter from the Public Prosecution, in which it explained that the investigator, Col. Jamal Mohamed Al-Khalifa Barakat, is doing a training session and taking exams during the period from February 1-13, 2022, while some of the accused were infected with Covid-19, including defendant Omer Al-Bashir.

In the same session, the court rejected requests submitted by the defense team to release the accused on bail and prevent lawyers from outside the Public Prosecution from appearing before the court.
