Armed Forces spokesperson visits SUNA

Armed Forces Spokesperson Col.  Nabil Abdalla Mohamed Ali has affirmed that Sudan News Agency (SUNA) is one of the well-established institutions in Sudan that  should be respected and preserved.

Col. Abdalla who visited SUNA, today outlined that his visit aimed at getting acquainted with  SUNA and its employees work.

He pointed out that SUNA expresses the official viewpoint of the state, adding thatSUNA duties include reflecting  issues related to the armed forces from a professional point of view besides the various activities of the army.

Col. Abdalla called for carrying outnewsreports  based on credibility, accuracy and transparency .

SUNA Director General Dr. Fikria Aba yzeed, on her part, reviewed the history of the agency, its activities, mandate,  requirements and role it played throughout various historical periods.

She stressed that SUNA has gained reputation at local regional and international levels, adding that in the recent period SUNA has introduced modern technologies in its work through media and direct transmission systems.

It is to be noted that the army spokesperson toured   the various departments of SUNA.
