Al-Sisi: Egypt will Support Success of Transitional Period in Sudan

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Egyptian President Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, pointed out that the efforts being made by Egypt and Sudan aim for political coordination and cooperation in the fields of health, agriculture and education to achieve integration between the two countries, adding that his meeting with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, were aimed to completing the efforts to develop a common vision to boost the cooperation between the two countries.

He said in a joint press conference he held Saturday at the Republican Palace with the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan that the brotherly Sudanese – Egyptian relations are historical and that they will continue and will be consolidated for the interest of the two peoples, pledging to support the great efforts in Sudan to manage the transitional period and move towards the future.

He said that the Sudanese people have made sacrifices for the freedom and the future of Sudan, congratulating the Sudanese people for the signing the peace agreement.

“        “We affirm that Egypt will remain with Sudan for the sake of the development and prosperity of Sudan, whose security is an integral part of Egypt’s security,” he said.

President Al-Sisi stated that he discussed with President Al-Burhan all the issues of concern to the two countries and to achieve stability in the Arab and African arenas.
