Abu-Hajja: Military Personnel much Keen for Civil State and Democratic Transition

The Media Advisor to the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and General Commander of the Armed Forces, Brig. Al-Taher Abu-Hajja, said that the recent decisions will contribute to filling the constitutional vacuum, and that amendment of the Document is a matter necessitated by the circumstances of the current political reality.

He explained that that in the transitional period is better to focus on the reality of how the transitional period is governed and not who governs it.

Brig. Abu-Hajja said that all the mediations are expected to provide a real support to the democratic transition towards civilian rule and a serious preparation for the elections without useless overburdening to the country.

He stressed that the military are much keen on the civil state and democratic transformation, adding that the top political matter lies in the national consensus, which is the solid base upon which all the country future is built.
