US Secretary of State renews support to Sudan democratic transition

Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk received, Sunday night telephone call from the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken who affirmed the US desire to continue its support to the economic and political reforms being carried out by the Sudanese government.

Dr. Hamdouk briefed Blinken on his recent initiative (The National Crisis and Transition Issues) where, the two sides affirmed the necessity for the consensus and the unity of the Sudanese people to make a success this historical transition to establish deeply-rooted democracy and sustainable peace.

The US official affirmed his country’s support to the Prime Minister and his civilian-led government.

The Prime Minister and the US Secretary of State stressed the importance of the bilateral relations between the two countries and the necessity for developing them further in all domains to serve the joint interests.

The conversation tackled the different development on regional arena.
