TSC Vice-President reassured on situation of Sudanese nationals in Ukraine

Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has got assured on the situations of the Sudanese nationals in Ukraine in the wake of the latest military incidents there.

The Vice-President of the TSC had a telephone call from Moscow today with the Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Sudan in Ukraine Ambassador Akasha Al-Dhau Mohamed, where he inquired about the situations of members of the Sudanese Community and the staff of the embassy and the efforts to evacuate them.

The Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Sudan in Ukraine noted that the stranded Sudanese nationals are in need of finance to meet the cost of their transportation over land for evacuation through two border crossings in Romania and Poland.

He affirmed that the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council promised to provide the necessary funding for all Sudanese nationals who want to be evacuated, indicating that TSC Vice President promised to give the issue a special concern through the TSC, the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Charge d’Affaires affirmed that all members of the Sudanese community in Ukraine are safe.
