Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council(TSC) and Chairman of the High Committee for Following-up Implementation of the Activated Peace Agreement in South Sudan Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo arrived on Tuesday in Juba, capital of South Sudan on official visit where he is accompanied by the Acting Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Yassin Ibrahim Yassin and Head of Military Intelligence Department Maj. Gen. Mohamed Ali Ahmed Sabeer as well as representatives from Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces , the Rapid Support Forces and the General Intelligence Service.
He was received at Juba airport by the Advisor of President of South Sudan for Security Affairs,Tut Gatluak, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Irrigation , director of War Intelligence, beside Sudan Ambassador to South Sudan, Jmala Malik and staff of the embassy in Juba.
The visit of the TSC Vice-President and his accompanied delegation comes within framework of getting acquainted with progress of implementation of the activated peace deal in South Sudan , particularly implementation of security arrangements.
It is worth mentioning that Gen. Daglo has led the mediation in the negotiation process between the South Sudanese parties representing the government of Sudan and that his efforts have crowned by formation of government of national unity in which the opposition leader Dr Reik Machar assumed the position of the first vice-president, integration of the forces of the opposition factions and formation of the national parliament.
