Sudan News Agency honors its former director-general late Mustafa Amin

The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) honored today its former director general late Mustafa Amin, who contributed to its establishment and development to become a leading regional national news agency, in the presence of members of his family.

The honoring ceremony was attended by the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel-Gader, Nasr-Eddin Ahmed, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Minister of Tele-Communications Adel Hassan and Brigadier Nabil Abdallah, the official spokesman for the Armed Forces.

The occasion was also attended by a number of former directors general of SUNA.

Addressing the occasion, the Minister of Culture and Information said that late Mustafa Amin had contributed to making the Sudan News Agency one of the most prominent news agencies in the region.

SUNA Director General Dr. Fikria Abayazid, on her part, said that the news agency reached this advanced technical and editorial level thanks to late Amin and his successors to become the official news agency, where it broadcasts its services at the national and international levels in Arabic, English, and French languages.

For their part, members of the family of late Mustafa Amin expressed their gratitude to the administration of SUNA for the honoring, saying that the late had remained faithful to the news agency till the last of his life
