Sudan Embassy in Kiev: 150 Sudanese Nationals Evacuated in Past Two Days

Sudan Embassy to Ukraine, represented in the acting Charge d’Affaires, Akasha Al-Dhaw Al-Mahi, has evacuated around 15o Sudanese nationals from Ukraine as part of the embassy’s continuous efforts to evacuate all the Sudanese in Ukraine.

The Sudan Embassy has been present to issue emergency travel documents for the Sudanese national so as to be able to enter Romania through Sert crossing, in coordination with Sudan Embassy to Bucharest.

Sudan Embassy in Kiev has appreciated the remarkable cooperation of the Sudanese nationals in Ukraine with it and their full commitment with the diplomatic mission in their travel through the crossings in Hungary, Slovakia and Poland, despite the accumulation at the border with Poland.

The number of the Sudanese nationals who crossed to Poland is estimated at 400 persons.

The Consul at Sudan Embassy in Berlin has settled the procedure for the Sudanese persons who do not obtain valid passports.

Sudan Embassy to Budapest has continued its efforts in coordination with the mission in Kiev with regard to the crossing and

accommodation of 50 Sudanese persons to Hungary, in addition to 30 Sudanese nationals who crossed to Slovakia.

The rate of the Sudanese nationals who were evacuated from Ukraine amounted to 85% of the total number of the Sudanese citizens in this country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating efforts with the concerned authorities and its embassies abroad to evacuate all the Sudanese out of Ukraine peacefully prior to their return to the homeland.
