Sudan and ICC Sign Memo of Understanding

Sudan Government and the International Criminal Court (ICC), on Thursday, signed a memorandum of understanding on the provision of the requested information.

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Nasr Edeen Abdel Bari signed for Sudan and the ICC Prosecutor Karim Asad Khan signed for the court.

The ICC Prosecutor said in a press conference he held in the Ministry of Justice that the memo will help in the provision of the necessary information, pointing out to the continuation of working with victims, survivors and civil society.

Khan underlined that during his visit which started last Monday, he met a number of the government senior officials and discussed opening of the ICC Office in Khartoum.

He indicated that the government provided the requested information in the case of Ali Kushayib, describing his meetings with the government’s officials as “direct and fruitful”
