Stability of Security Situation in Oil Fields

West Kordufan, acting governor, head of the state’s security committee, Khaled Mohamed Ahmed Geellieh, asserted there is no courtesy in the security and stability of the oil fields, and that who tries to undermine the security and economy of the country the state will decisively deal with.

Following his chairing to the joint meeting of the state security committee and the Balila oil field, the acting governor affirmed stability of the security conditions in all the fields, especially the Balila field, which had witnessed sabotage acts by some groups during their demanding of development, service and employment rights, he warned against the sabotage acts indicating that the state government and the security organs will not allow this, noting that the oil is a national wealth whose security and preservation cannot be compromised.

The acting governor of West Kordufan asserted legitimacy of the demands made by this group, stressing that these demands should be in accordance with the law and peaceful methods and not sabotage.
