Sovereignty Council Informed on Outcome of Al-Burhan Visit to UAE

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, Monday informed the council on the outcome of his recent visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In a press statement after the meeting, the spokesperson of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Salma Abdul-Jabar, said that the President of the council has described the visit as successful and fruitful and that it will bring tangible results to the country, especially at the economic and investment levels.

She indicated that the meeting deliberated on the national mechanism for the protection of civilians and stressed the importance of establishing security and achieving stability in Darfur states.

Dr. Salma said that the council stressed the necessity of reactivating the performance of the prosecutions and the judicial organs for facilitating the judicial procedures.

She said that the Council assured the importance of reducing the prices of consumer goods for the citizens and providing commodities to meet the citizens needs for the holy month of Ramadan.

She noted that the Sovereignty Council was briefed on the real situation in Sudanese universities and stumbling faced by students and their families
