Samouh Commends Efforts to Develop Sudanese-American Relations

El-Fasher,(SUNA)-Wali(governor) of North Darfur State, Al-Sharif Samouh has lauded the ongoing dialogue between Sudan and the United States for improvement of relations between the two countries.

He hoped that relations between the two countries would develop to partnerships and cooperation in the various fields.

The Wali, who received at the General Secretariat of the State Government in El-Fasher Sunday a delegation from US Embassy in Khartoum led by the Political Advisor at the Embassy in the presence of representative of UNAMID , called the United States and all the international friends to enter into investment partnerships with Sudan for employment of its tremendous resources for achievement of common benefits , especially in agricultural domains.

He indicated to importance of removal of Sudan from list of state sponsors of terrorism and assisting Sudan to World Bank support to enable it empoy its resources.

Samouh briefed delegation of the US embassy on overall security and humanitarian situations, provision of services and establishment of development projects in the State, referring to stability of security situations.

He commended roles being played by UNAMID during the past period and called it and the international organizations operating in the State to support development efforts and provision of services at areas of voluntary return.

Head of the delegation , for his said the purpose of the delegation visit was to get acquainted with security and humanitarian situations , especially the free repatriation of displaced people.

He stressed that his country has been working to develop its relations with Sudan in all fields.
