Resumption of Canadian Aid to Sudan Discussed

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Asma Mohamed Abdalla, Sunday received in her office the Canadian Charge d’Affaires to Sudan, Adrian Norfolk, and discussed the progress in the relations between Sudan and Canada after After announcement of the Parliamentary Secretary of the Canadian Foreign Minister, who visited Sudan last January, to the upgrading of the diplomatic representation between Sudan and Canada.

The two sides discussed the possibility of resumption of the Canadian developmental cooperation in Sudan and working to attract the Canadian private sector to operate in the Sudanese market, especially in the fields of mining and agriculture with a view to making Sudan an important economic center in Africa in the near future.

The minister and the Canadian Charge d’Affaires also discussed the possibility of providing support at the international and regional forums.
