President of Chadian Military Council Receives Dr. Al-Hadi Idris

The visiting President of the Chadian Transitional Military Council, Gen. Mohamed Idris Deby, Monday received in his residence at Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum, the member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, and discussed prospects of the cooperation between Sudan and Chad in the light of the distinguished ties linking between them.

The member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council said in a press statement that he renewed his condolences to the President of the Transitional Military Council, on the death of his father, Idriss Deby, affirming that the Sudanese and Chadian peoples are one people in two countries and pointed to the historical and eternal ties between the two brotherly peoples.

” During the period of struggle and struggle, Chad was a second country for us,” he said, expressing his gratitude to the Chadian people and their leadership, for their great role in supporting the peace process in Sudan.

Dr. Idris noted that he thanked the Chadian President of the Transitional Military Council for his country’s support for the Juba Agreement for peace in Sudan, praising the pivotal role played by the late Chadian President, Idriss Deby, for achieving peace and supporting the stability in Sudan.

He referred to the generous hosting of Chad to Sudanese refugees for a period of more than ten years, expressing his thanks to the President of the Chadian Military Council for his country’s continued care and hosting to the Sudanese refugees.

He said that the meeting emphasized the importance of working together for the stability of the two countries and the well-being of the two brotherly peoples.
