Misseriya , Dinka Malual to Hold Peaceful Coexistence Conference Next May

– The Chairman of Misseriya and the Dinka Malual border Peace Committee, assigned by the Government of Western Kordofan State and authorities of Al Mayram locality, Bakar Abdul Jalil Bakar, disclosed that the Dinka Malual and the Misseriya communities will hold a peaceful coexistence conference, next May , under Sponsorship of the President of the Transitional Sovereign Council (TSC), Gen.Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan.

In a statement to SUNA, Bakar, stressed the importance of discussing issues quietly and fraternally so that the conferences could come up with results and recommendations benefiting citizens at borders between the States of the Sudan and South Sudan.

He stated that the conference outcomes would be handed over to the central government and state government along with the authorities of  Al Mayram locality so that they could be implemented on the ground in security and stability.

Bakar reviewed the history of previous peace conferences, which he said always ended to nothing, stating that today the reality is differenet after communication between the Governments of Khartoum and Juba on many points, praising the role of the Vice-President of South Sudan State, Hussein Abdelbaggi Akol , who contributed to the diya payments of a number of dead people when everyone reached a deadlock in the past negotiations.

He also commended the role of the SPLA leadership at the border, which had reduced violations and conflicts between nomads on both sides as well as his counterparts of the peace committees in the South Sudan State.

The Chairman of the Misseriya and the Dinka Malual border Peace Committee expressed his gratitude to the United Nations organizations that continued to support peace and coexistence conferences.
