Madbouli Affirms Egypt’s Commitment to Support Sudan

Khartoum (SUNA) – The Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Mustafa Madbouli, has expressed his pleasure to visit Sudan at the head of a high-ranking delegation of Egyptian ministers and senior officials, referring to the historical ties between the two brotherly peoples.

By the end of the joint Sudanese – Egyptian talks Saturday 15th August at the Friendship Hall, Madbouli expressed the congratulation of the Egyptian government and people to the Sudanese people on the on the occasion of the anniversary of the signing of the Constitutional Document, which has paved the way for formation of the transitional government and the transition for development and progress.

Dr. Madbouli said that he is carrying a message from Egyptian President, Abdul-Fattah Al-Sisi, to the state leaders in Sudan affirming Egypt’s readiness to provide all possible aspects of support to the brothers in Sudan in the current period that Sudan is going through in all areas that serve the Sudanese citizen, whether in the fields of dealing with the impacts of floods, the health sector, and the important development sectors such as the electricity sector, the water resources, irrigation, trade and industry.

The Egyptian Prime Minister said that he discussed with his counterpart Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk the building of a new era in the coming period which is aimed at activating all the joint projects between the two countries and implementing them on the ground to serve the interests of the two peoples, stressing his country’s keenness to support the stability and progress of Sudan. He indicated that he agreed with Dr. Hamdouk to hold regular meetings at the level of senior officials in the two countries, adding that he invited the Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, to visit Egypt at the earliest opportunity for activating what was agreed upon.
