Human Rights Commission investigates facts of Koolgi incidents

A delegation from the National Commission for Human Rights visited North Darfur state to investigate the facts about the Koolgi incidents that happened at the beginning of this month.

The delegation of the National Commission for Human Rights upon arrive to Al- Fasher, the capital of North Darfur state on Friday evening, began a program of visits that included the Koolgi area and the displaced camps of Zamzam, Hashaba, Tawila Gate, and Shagra.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Commission made an intensive activity for the collection of dozens of testimonies and documents, as well as holding meetings with the families of the victims and the wounded.

The delegation of the Commission also met today, Monday, with the acting governor of the state, Hafez Bakhit, before concluding visit to North Darfur state.
