Hamdouk Briefed on efforts for Sudan Joining to Smart Africa Alliance

The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk, received in his office Monday the Minister of Communications and Digital Transformation, Engineer Hashim Hassab Al-Rasoul, and discussed the ministry’s efforts the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation for Sudan joining to the Rwanda-based Smart Africa Alliance (SMART AFRICA) which includes (32) countries.

The Prime Minister reiterated at the meeting importance of the role of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation in the country’s overall economic reform process.

Engineer Hassab Al-Rasoul explained that he briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of implementing the projects of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation and the ministry’s strategy for the future of the Post in Sudan.

The minister said that he also informed Dr. Hamdouk on the file of international cooperation, understandings and successes achieved in the communications field with major international companies in light of Sudan openness to the international community.

He disclosed that announced that the Chairperson of the Smart Africa Alliance will visit Sudan during August 29 – 30 to discuss ways of joint cooperation and the projects that Sudan will implement in cooperation with the Africa Alliance.
