Gen. Jaber Returns Home after Official Visits to Rwanda and Zimbabwe

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Ibrahim Jaber, returned home on Saturday afternoon, after official visits to the Republics of Rwanda and Zimbabwe, during which he was accompanied by the Director of the African Union Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Al-Zain Ibrahim.

He was received at Khartoum Airport by Secretary-General of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Al-Ghali Ali Yousif.

During the visits, which lasted for several days, Gen. Jaber met with Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, and Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa, and handed them two written letters from the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul- Fattah Al-Burhan, dealing with the progress of the relations between Khartoum and Kigali and Harare and ways to strengthen them further, besides issues of common concern.

The member of the Sovereignty Council has briefed the Rwandan and Zimbabwean Presidents on the developments in Sudan and the efforts being made to overcome the challenges facing the transitional period.
