Economic Conference Date of Convention Changed

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Preparatory Committee for the National Economic Conference, Wednesday, held a meeting at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers chaired by the Economic Adviser of the Prime Minister.

The meeting approved a proposal for the change of the date of convening the economic conference to (29-31) at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum.

The new date came to provide an opportunity for more societal dialogue between the country’s various components for more consultations and dialogue on the economic challenges facing the country in order to reach a general consensus on ways to solve it, by defining and studying the economic problem to come out with recommendations that would help the government in taking decisions that contribute to the required economic treatments.

The meeting has reviewed the reports of the conference’s subcommittees, which have dealt with the situation of preparations for the conference success.

The Committee has asserted importance of exerting all the needed efforts to make the conference a successful, and to benefit from its outcomes in the treatment of all issues of the national economy.
