Daglo receives US delegation

– The First Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt-General, Mohammed Hamdan Daglo received, today, at the Republican Palace a US delegation including former US Congress members, businessmen and representatives of a number of US voluntary organizations.

Daglo briefed the US delegation on the formation of the Transitional Government, the signing of peace agreement with the Armed Struggle Movements, the Sudan-US developing bilateral relations on the light of revocation of the country’s name from the list of the countries sponsoring terrorism.

He pointed to the importance of the international community’s support for the Sudanese people during the transitional period, especially since Sudan has suffered from international isolation for long periods, stressing the government’s keenness to complete the tasks and objectives of the transitional period, leading to a democratic transition.

He explained that Sudan is ready to receive investments from all countries of the world in all fields.

The US delegation lauded the Sudan-US relations, adding that the US looks forward for building strategic partnership with Sudan following the current developments in the country.
