Daglo Pledges to Solve Problems Facing Work at Ports

Vice – President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, has pledged solve most of the problems and obstacles facing the port’s work, and gave a directive to operate two cranes urgently and immediately.

This came when he chaired on Wednesday evening at the headquarters of the Red Sea government a meeting with the specializing trade chambers, the standards and Metrology Corporation, the Agricultural Quarantines, the Sea Ports Corporation.

In a press statement after the meeting, the representative of the Shipping Agency Chamber, Imad-Eddin Haroun, said that the meeting was fruitful and successful and came out with constructive recommendations that would lead to solution of the exports and imports problems.

He noted that the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council gave a directive for the operation of additional cranes and the continuation of work in the ports, and also obligated Customs authorities to work for 24 hours to expedite and to ease the clearance of the commodities at the ports
