CBOS’s Governor: Microfinance forum aims at achieving financial inclusion

Central Bank of Sudan’s(CBOS) Governor Mohamed Al-Fatih Zain-Al-Abddin, has said that launch of microfinance forum aims at achieving financial inclusion and increasing the national product.

In his address today before the opening session of the microfinance forum organized by microfinance Unit at Central Bank of Sudan under slogan (access to microfinance) the Governor said, microfinance institutions amounted to 40 institutions at federal level.

He pointed out that those who benefited from microfinance program estimated to three million persons, stressing that they work to increase that number.

Moreover, Zain Al-Abdden noticed that the funds provided under microfinance project amounted to SDG25 billion for the 2020 and it was doubled to SDG70 billion by the year 2021.

He said the funds provision would be increased to include all targets particularly for developing the agricultural sector.
