Aror welcomes Smart Partnership for Technology Indigenization

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Minister of Information, Communications and Information Technology Beshara Juma Aror has stressed the positive and scientific benefits of the use of technology, asserting that using them strictly and objectively reduces cost and the time period. The Minister welcomed the partnership between ministries and organizations to transfer modern technologies and use them in all agricultural operations and to train rural and urban farmers on them, emphasizing the positive impact of technology in exploiting agricultural areas and narrowing the food gap. This came during his speech to the SUNA Forum Thursday, which hosted the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry to talk about the convening of the first regional forum for smart agriculture, which is scheduled to be held in Khartoum during 24-26 of the current September under the auspices of the President of the Republic. Aror welcomed the partnership that drives production and reduces the needs of the hungers, stressing the positive role of technology in achieving food security and increase exports. He called for the gradual use of technology and the training of farmers among his ministry and the Ministry of Agriculture and related organizations to Indigenize new technologies used in any Agricultural activity.
