Al-Rashid Saeed Yagoub Appointed as First Undersecretary of Culture and Information Ministry

Khartoum,  (SUNA) – The Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdok, has issued a decision, on the recommendation of the Minister of Culture and Information, relieving Abdalla Jadalla Ahmed Nimir, from the position of the caretaker Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information and appointing Rashid Saeed Yagoub as the First Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information.

Al-Rashid Saeed Yagoub graduated at the Department of Political Science in the University of Khartoum in 1986, and received the Higher Education Diploma of French Language from the International Center for Languages in Vichy and the Higher Diploma in Diplomatic Relations from the Higher Institute of Management in Paris.

Immediately after graduating, he worked as a diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was dismissed for the public interest. He joined teaching at the Al-Ahliya University in Omdurman before immigrating to France, where he worked as a journalist and broadcaster with a number of newspapers, radio and television stations and news websites.

Al-Rashid also worked in the field of media training at the National Audio-Visual Institute in Paris. He was a member of national and international organizations and worked as the chairperson of the Arab Press Club in Paris in the session of 2010 – 2012.
