Al-Hadi Idris Chairs Meeting of Health and Humanitarian Emergency Committee

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and deputy chairman of the higher health and humanitarian emergency committee, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris YahIa; headed Monday at the Republican Palace a meeting of the executive committee for health emergencies which discussed the repercussions and effects of the fires that occurred in some different regions of Sudan; In the presence of a number of humanitarian, social and relief organs and the Humanitarian Aid Commission.

The Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, said in a press statement that the meeting discussed ways to provide the necessary needs for those affected by the disasters that ravaged a number of areas, especially the Donki Darisa area in Al-Salam Locality in South Darfur State, which was greatly affected by the fires, as the number of affected families reached about 2,000 families, in addition to the burning of buildings and agricultural crops.

He added that the executive committee for health emergencies will continue its meetings with a number of organ to attract the required support to help those affected by the fires in some areas before the holy month of Ramadan.
