Al-Burhan Receives Envoy of Norway and Affirms Commitment to Comprehensive Dialogue

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has praised the supportive stances of Norway to Sudan in various fields, especially its continuous support for the peace and stability operations.

During his meeting at the Republican Palace on Monday with the special envoy of Norway to Sudan and South Sudan, Endre Stiansen, and the Ambassador of Norway to Sudan, Therese Gheziel, the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council affirmed his support to a comprehensive Sudanese dialogue which includes all the political forces and the societal organizations, excluding the National Congress, to achieve solution for the current political crisis in the country.

He briefed the Norwegian envoy on the political developments in the country, indicating that he is dealing with the Kingdom of Norway as a friendly country to Sudan and its people.

On his part, the Norwegian side affirmed its support to the main issues discussed during the meeting, represented in the comprehensive dialogue, formation of a government of competencies led by a civilian prime minister, amendment of the constitutional document to keep pace with developments in the political reality, and the holding of elections at
