Al-Burhan Praises Role of Khalawi (Quran Schools) in Expanding Social Peace and Security

The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdul-Fattah Al-Burhan, has praised the great role being played by the Khalawi (Quranic schools) and sheikhs of the Sufi sects in disseminating social peace and security and expanding the peace culture by widening the scope of religious participation between all the components.

During his meeting at the Republican Palace Saturday with Sheikh Al-Fatih Abdul-Rahim Al-Burie, Gen. Al-Burhan affirmed the importance of providing basic services, especially electricity, at Al-Zariba area in North Kordofan State.

Sheikh Al-Fatih Al-Burie said in a press statement that the meeting discussed various issues and challenges facing the citizens in North Kordofan State in general and Al-Zariba in particular, pointing out that the President of the Sovereignty Council promised to direct the relevant authorities to find urgent solutions to these challenges in the state, especially electricity.
