Aggar Meets Norway Ambassador , Appreciates Norway Support to Sudan

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Aggar, has praised the stances of the Kingdom of Norway in boosting the transitional sovereignty Council and the process for achieving peace and stability in the country.

In a press statement after her meeting with Aggar Monday at the Republican Palace in the presence of the special envoy for Sudan, the Ambassador of Norway to Sudan, Theresa Loken, said that she held a fruitful and constructive meeting with a member of the Sovereign Council, which dealt with the progress of the transitional period and its challenges facing it, stressing her country’s readiness to provide support and assistance to Sudan to overcome the existing challenges.

Ambassador Loken stated that the Troika countries, represented in the United States, Norway and the United Kingdom, have affirmed their strong support for Sudan and to provide the necessary political support for success of the transitional period, noting that the three countries agreed to provide support for the peace agreement and to overcome obstacles facing its implementation.

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway said that the Troika countries encourage and support a comprehensive peace process at various levels, adding that they will work, in coordination with each other, to support Sudan to achieve a prosperous future for its people.
