Activist warns of outbreak cholera, malaria and hemorrhagic fever

Health, medical and weather forecast agencies have warned of the deteriorated health and environmental situation in Sudan and its aggravation over the next two months to become catastrophic in which cholera and autumn-related fevers will spread and the community health in the country, especially, from Kassala to Port Sudan, is declining.

According to Amjad Farid that the early action against the epidemics has become the decisive factor in curbing them and minimizing their effects, adding that the basic part of the early dealing with the epidemics based on the Forecast Risk Model.

Farid has affirmed the presence of considerable factors that make the specialists expect major epidemic outbreak including Cholera, Diarrhea and fever in August and September, referring to the increase in rainfall levels, according to the IGAD weather forecast website.

He warned the Ministry of Health of being pre-occupied by the COVID-19, neglecting, autumn epidemics.
