Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Al Sadiq left today to the Pakistani Capital, Islamabad, heading  Sudan delegation participating  in meetings of the 48th session of the ministerial council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during March 22-23.

The  delegation besides the Minister, includes Sudan permanent envoy to OIC, Ambassador Adil Bashir Hassan, Director on International Organizations Directorate, Ambassador Nadia Mohamed Khair, official of the file at the International Organizations Directorate at the Ministry  and that the Sudan charge d’Affaires at Sudan embassy in Islamabad, the first Secretary Bedr-Eddin Bakheet Musa will join the delegation.

The 48 session will  discuss a number of a host of important issues  such the Palestinian cause, Arab-Israeli conflict, situations of Islamic communities and minorities, Islamic groups , the humanitarian  situations  in Afghanistan and developments of situations  in a number of the member states in addition to issues of extremism, violent extremism, terrorism and fighting the Islam phobia

The Minister will participate on the sideline of the session in  meeting which will be held under the title “the Role of Muslim World in Promoting Peace, security and Justice.

The Minister will deliver Sudan’ statement before the 48 session of the OIC Ministerial Council   which takes place under the slogan “ The Partnership for the

Sake of Unity, Development and Justice” and that the Minister will hold a number of bilateral meetings.

It is worth mentioning  that the 48th session of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation coincides with the seventy-fifth anniversary of the independence of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Minister is also expected to meet on the sidelines of the 48th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers  in Pakistan with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
