UNESCO affirms support to press freedom in Sudan

 Transitional Prime Minister, Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk met, Monday, on the sidelines of the Paris Conference on Sudan, UNESCO General Director, Audrey Azoulay.

The UNESCO official, in press statements expressed pleasure over meeting Hamdouk , in Paris to renew and strengthen cooperation between Sudan and UNESCO, referring to the joint cooperation in the field of information and culture.

She added that Sudan and UNESCO have been working together, since last year in the field of freedom of press to evaluate the conditions in which the media operate, and to update the framework in which the media work including, legislation, qualification and training of cadres.
