Djibouti, (SUNA) The Sudanese ambassador in Djibouti Hamza Al-Amin affirmed the resumption of the work of the Sudanese Djibouti Committee after the visit of Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk to Djibouti tomorrow.
in a statement to (SUNA), the ambassador described the Prime Minister’s visit to Djibouti as historic, as it is the first visit for a high-ranking official from Sudan following the glorious December revolution, noting that the coming period will witness meetings of the ministerial committee between the two countries in Khartoum where the last meeting of the committee was held in Djibouti in the year 2014.
He revealed that the strategy of the Sudan Presidency to the IGAD is based on economic cooperation between the member states and its structure to become a regional economic organization, besides achieving security and peace in the IGAD region, reaching peace in southern Sudan and the stability of the situation in Somalia.
The Sudan’s Ambassador to Djibouti noted that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the new headquarters of the IGAD organization in Djibouti, funded by the donor countries of the organization along with his visit to the ports in Djibouti, and Djibouti Telecom.
The ambassador said that the visit comes in response to the invitation of the Djibouti President Ismail Omar Gili, in addition to informing the African leaders of political and economic developments in Sudan, and discussing development of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
