Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Head of the Revolutionary Front, Dr. Al-Hadi Idris, pointed out that the government of the transitional period is moving towards establishing a strong national army and integrating all the forces affiliated with the peace agreement into the Sudanese Armed Forces.

He affirmed during his meeting Monday with the executive, political and people’s leaders in Merowe city that the government is ready for dialogue with all people, indicating that the agreement of the North Track in the Juba peace agreement is open for adding or deletion.

He said that the percentage assigned for Darfur in the peace agreement was not at the expense of the other regions, but it is from the resources of Darfur region itself.

Dr. Idris said that the criterion for success of the modern state is its success in managing diversity in both the human and material parts, adding that in order to build the civil state it was necessary to stop the war and to make all people productive.

On his part, the leader of the North Track, Mohamed Daoud, referred to increasing voices of regionalism and racism that should be extinguished in the bud, stressing that the revolution shall be preserved.

He said that the North Track has called for lifting to the grievances of migrants, concern with environment and improvement of the education and electricity services.

The representative of the resistance committee in Merowe, Emir Mohamed Ahmed, said that the youths are dreaming about the modern civilian state of justice and law, welcoming the visit of the member of the Sovereignty Council and the accompanying delegation.

The representative of the Freedom and Change, Al-Rayah Beraima, has welcomed the signing of the declaration of principles between the transitional government and the People’s Movement – North, led by Abdul-Aziz Al-Hillo, wishing that Abdul-Wahid Mohamed Nur will join the peace process.
