Situation Returns to Calmness in West Kordofan

– The Chairman of the Higher Council for Social Peace and Reconciliations in West Kordofan State, Al-Saddiq Meraida Abul-Gasim, has affirmed Calmness of the security conditions in the area of the dispute between of Al-Sinout and Nuhud, which occurred between some components of the Messeriya Al-Zurq tribes.

     He said in a statement to SUNA that the situation is stable and under the control after the intervention of the regular forces in the buffer zone at the site of the dispute, and there are no clashes or confrontations other than the one that occurred last week.

He indicated that the native administration on both sides is up to the responsibility and has done a great job in the past few days, which contributed a great deal to calm the conditions and stabilize the situation.

  Meraida explained that the state security committee, headed by Hammad Abdul-Rahman Salih, is in a daily session and is following up on the situation in order to avoid recurrence of the dispute, besides its work to bring the views closer in order to reach a document that guarantees the non-recurrence of the conflict between the two parties.

He called on the components of the two tribes to stick to wisdom and to look closely at the eternal relations left by the leaders of the two tribes and ancestors since old times.
