River Nile State Governor Inspects Conditions of Floods-Affected People

Shendi (SUNA) – Governor of River Nile State Dr. Amna Ahmed Al Maki has got acquainted with the damage caused by floods at Al Shagalwa area in Shendi Locality in the presence of senior officials of the government of the state and representatives of the  Forces of Freedom and Change.

 The governor, who chaired a meeting of the emergency committee at Shendi Locality, reaffirmed commitment of the government of the state to extend emergency aid to the floods-affected people in the state, including foodstuffs, lodging materials and medicines, lauding the great popular efforts to ward off effects of the floods in cooperation with the local authorities.
