Nichola Reviews Arrangements to Speed up Issuance of Supreme Judicial Council Act

Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Raja Nichola Abdel-Maseeh, received in her office Monday a representative of the lawyers who are concerned with the legal affairs related to completion of the transitional period’s  structures, Mukhtar Abdoun, and discussed the arrangements to speed up issuance of the Supreme Judicial Council.

In a press statement, Abdoun said that they are keen to approve this law due to its role in protecting the transitional phase, and because it represents the basis for formation of the Constitutional Court, determining its chairmanship and membership, and appointing the Chief Justice, members of the Supreme Court and the Attorney General,

He stressed the importance of establishment of the transitional period’s parliament and the preparation for the constructional conference and issuing the Act of the Elections, adding that there are laws that require revision
