Netherlands Expresses Desire to Invest at Animal Wealth Field in Sudan

Khartoum, (SUNA) – The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Dr. Alam-Eddin Abdalla, Monday received in his office the Ambassador of the Netherlands to Sudan Dr. Karen Boven.

The meeting discussed ways of promote the cooperation and reactivate the partnerships between the two countries in the fields of animal resources, especially in regard to animal health.

The talks also reviewed the idea of establishing modern slaughter-houses to compete at the global markets, and supporting the cooperation in areas of training and capacity building and making use of the Netherlands’ experiences.

The minister has praised of the cooperation and fruitful relations between the two countries, describing it are deeply rooted.

Meanwhile, the Dutch ambassador affirmed the readiness of her country to cooperate with Sudan, especially in the animal resources’ domain.

She expressed the desire of the Dutch private sector companies to invest in the animal Production field in Sudan, referring to the distinguished experiences of the Netherlands in the dairy field.
