Ministry of Trade and ILO Discuss Ways of Cooperation

Khartoum,   (SUNA) – The Minister of Trade and Supply, Ali Jiddu, and the Director of the International Labor Organization (ILO) to Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan and Special Envoy to the African Union, Alexio Musindo, discussed on Saturday horizons of cooperation between the ministry and the organization in the trade field toward creating job opportunities for the youth and women within the framework of the International Labor Organization’s programs.

The minister indicated in a press statement that the meeting touched on potential areas of cooperation to develop the cooperative movement in Sudan.

He said that the two sides also discussed the essential role that the cooperative societies can play to meet the economic and social aspirations of the Sudanese people and the ways to enhance collaboration in the country through the cooperative ecosystem.

Jiddu pointed out that the meeting agreed on the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the two sides in line with the organization’s vision with regard to the parties related to its programs to include projects for the benefit of all stakeholders
