Executive Director of Gezira Scheme Ibrahim Mustafa said that the Ministry of Finance and National Planning has committed to pay 60% from the total financing of agricultural summer season in Gezira scheme which is estimated to cost SDG11 billions.
Mustafa explained that the recent visit paid by Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk to Gezira scheme achieved good results on rehabilitation of the scheme.
He said the visit achieved 12 positive points on top of which are access to basic data and maintaining of finance.
He revealed existence of a number of companies involved in developing Gezira project particularly French companies.
Moreover according to Mustafa that consultation is carried out with some parties to rehabilitate all Sudan railways sectors destroyed by the defunct regime.
