Minister of Urban Development Receives Saudi Ambassador

The Minister of Urban Development, Roads and Bridges, Abdalla Yahia, has praised firmness of the historical relations between Sudan and Saudi Arabia.

During his meeting at his office Wednesday with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia, Ali bin Hassan Jaafar, the minister said that there are great opportunities for joint cooperation between the two countries, indicating that Sudan government is currently providing a promising environment for investment in various fields, foremost of which is the field of urban development.

The meeting discussed the prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides in the coming period and the importance of coordination all the various state institutions relating to the urban development, as well as the projects of development funds in the two countries and the Sudanese-Saudi mutual investments, especially in the areas of urban development and ways to enhance, develop and support them.

Yahia said that the two sides agreed to continue coordination and consultation and activate the partnership relations that link the two countries in various fields.

On his part, the Saudi Ambassador affirmed the Kingdom’s readiness to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and friendship with brotherly countries and to work to raise the level of cooperation in various fields between Saudi Arabia and Sudan in to achieve the aspirations of the two peoples and leaderships in the two countries.
